Judith (Judy) E. Vowels, age 76, born in Evansville Indiana, and resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017. Ms. Vowels is survived by her sons, James Vowels and wife, Sue, Tony Vowels, Donnie Vowels, Carl Vowels and wife, Michelle, John Vowels and wife, Kristine; sisters, Marcia Slightom, Pam Marcum and husband, Jeff; brothers, Edgar Humm Jr. and wife, Connie, David Humm and wife, Brenda; grandchildren, Stephanie, Kevin, Drew, Ben and fiancée, Brooke, Adeline, David, Derrick, Trevor and Tanner; one great-grandson, Jackson; Aunt Ruth Johnson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other extended family members. Ms. Vowels was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Sr. and Helena Jo Humm; sister, Jean Nordberg and brother-in-law, Jerry Nordberg.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors. Dr. SW, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m.
Final visitation and services for Ms. Vowels will take place at a later date in Joliet, Illinois, at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home and St. Pat’s Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Harrisburg, Illinois.
