Priscilla Abeyta, age 70, born in Cimarron, New Mexico, graduate of Cimarron High School as homecoming queen 1965. Mrs. Abeyta went to nursing school and earned her degree. She met her husband James in Santa Fe and moved to Los Angeles, CA where her two oldest sons were born. After moving back to Albuquerque, she gave birth to her third son Adrian. Mrs. Abeyta retired as an Albuquerque Public School nurse. Mrs. Abeyta, a resident of Albuquerque passed away May 4, 2017 with her family by her side. Mrs. Abeyta is survived by her husband Jimmy Abeyta; sons, David Abeyta and close friend, Jeannette Gonzales, Bryan Abeyta and wife, Kristalee; brother, Jerry Sanchez; granddaughter, Mariahlee Abeyta, and many other extended family members. Mrs. Abeyta was preceded in death by her son Adrian Abeyta. Visitation will be Friday, May 12, 2017 from 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5215 Fortuna Rd. N.W., with a Rosary to follow at 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
