Sarah E. Vargas, age 75, born in Las Vegas, New Mexico and resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 with her family by her side.  Ms. Vargas is survived by her son, Phillip Vargas; daughter, Geraldine Vermeire and husband, Duane; sister, Patsy Gonzales; grandchildren, Joseph Herrera, Tanisha Vargas, Dominic Chavez; great-grandchildren, Alanna Herrera, Athena Herrera; cousin, Juan Armijo; nephew, Marvin Gonzalez and wife, Gloria; as well as, many other cousins and dear friends.  Ms. Vargas was preceded in death by her grandmother, Manuelita Sanchez and granddaughter, Andrea Herrera. Rosary to be recited Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW., Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.   Pallbearers will be, Marvin Gonzales, Joseph Herrera, Dominic Chavez, Richard Cisneros, Russell Lucero and Mack Lucero Jr.
