Carmelita Montano

Carmelita Montano, age 85, born in Veguita, New Mexico, and resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 with her family by her side. Mrs. Montano is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Elias Montano; children, Rosemary Montano, Reyna Vigil and husband, Lee; Freddie Montano and wife, Geri, Gabriel Montano; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Montano was preceded in death by her son, Louie Montano; parents, Antonio and Reina Contreras and brother, Leo Contreras.   Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Hall, 309 Stover Ave SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 9:00 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
