Albert Max Baca, age 78, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on September 12, 2025. Albert is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Linda Baca; children, daughter, Maxine Padilla, and son, Michael Baca and wife, Theresa; grandchildren, Elijah Padilla and partner, Kevin Garcia, Andy Torres and partner, Amber Quick, Alyssa Hopkins and partner, Richard Thomas, and Joselyn Valdez; great-grandchildren, Alice Thomas, Eliott Torres, Elijah Carrion; brothers, Fernando Baca, Wilfred Baca and wife, Lola; brother in-law, Frank Atencio; sister in-laws, Susie Sanchez, and Gloria Chavez; several special nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maximiliano and Guadalupe Padilla and father and mother in-laws, Big Mama and Big Daddy, sister, Baca, brother, David and sister, Flora, sister in-laws, Rosemary, and Cecilia, brother in-laws, Juven, Manuel, Raymond and Vivian. Mr. Baca served his country proudly and was honorably discharged from the United States Army. Albert retired from the Bernalillo County as Health Inspector after twenty-seven years’ service and then continued with his little “flea market” business. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 8:00a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church 562 Atrisco Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 8:15 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. and interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE with military honors and presentation of the flag. Pallbearers will be, Elijah Padilla, Andy Torres, Kevin Garcia, Joselyn Valdez, Alyssa Hopkins, Tomas Atencio; Honorary Pallbearers will be Manuel Sanchez, Tommy Sanchez, Ricky Chavez, Frank Chavez.
