Alvino Contreras

Alvino Contreras, age 91, born in Contreras, New Mexico and a resident of Sandia Park, New Mexico, passed away on May 19, 2021. Mr. Contreras is survived by his daughter, Linda Contreras Ridlington and husband, Peter; son Bobby Contreras; one granddaughter, Brigid Contreras Ridlington; many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Contreras was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie O. Contreras; parents, Juan Andres and Antonia Contreras; brothers and sisters, Refugio Contreras, Senaida Lucero, Jacobo Contreras, Lola Benitez, Connie Salas. Mr. Contreras served his country proudly in the United States Army, Korean War Veteran. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. by Dolores Crollett and Connie Mora. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 309 Stover SW Committal service with Military honors and will follow the mass at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m
