Angela Marleen Romero Jojola left this world too soon on August 20, 2022, surrounded by her family. Angela is survived by her parents, Eleno J. “E.J.” and Patricia Romero, her grandmother Margie Zaia, her husband, Daniel Jojola, her daughter Briana Corrales, daughter Brittany Corrales, and her partner Hakeem Edmon and grandson Jamir, son Diego, step-son Estevan Jojola, his wife Michelle and grandchildren Estevan Jr., Elijah and Sophia, her sister Anita Romero O’Brien and her husband Robert O’Brien and her brother Lucas Romero, his wife Karen and son Mack, as well as a large extended family.
Angela was a native of Albuquerque and worked at Sandia National Laboratories.
Angela loved to travel and hike, with her love, husband Daniel, exploring different hot springs. They also enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Angela loved her kids and grandchildren fiercely; they were the light of her life.
Angela was a vivacious spirit whose smile could light up a room. She made friends easily and was loyal, especially to her life-long friends. She will be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor and well as her special talent for bestowing nicknames on people. She loved to laugh and be surrounded by family and friends. As a child, she loved sleep overs and never wanted anyone to go home. She was strong and stubborn, but also girly and liked anything pink and sparkly.
Cooking was Angela’s love language. She was an amazing cook and loved to cook for family and friends. She was also an excellent baker. Her cakes and Christmas goodie platters will be especially missed.
Rest in peace, Angela. You are so loved.
