Tony Pete Rico Ramirez (Antonio Pedro Ramirez) age 90 1/2, born on January 20, 1936 to Pedro Ambrosio Ramirez and Josephine Lopez Ramirez of Albuquerque, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, entered his Eternal Home on August 17, 2026.
Tony is survived by his children, Michael Ramirez and wife Jane Ramirez, Kathleen Ramirez, JoAnn Montoya and husband John Montoya, Collette Archuleta and husband Gary Archuleta, eleven grand children, twenty two great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and three on their way, a brother Larry Ramirez, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his beloved wife Catherine VanDamme Ramirez, son Thomas, grandson Jonathan, great granddaughter Isabel and three great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Tony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Tony's pride and joy was his wife and family. His hobbies were sketching, painting, music and old movies, which he had a vast collection he recorded. He was a loyal servant in the Roman Catholic Church. He was a member of the Franciscan 3rd order, the Legion of Mary, an alter server, and he taught Confirmation classes in his younger years. If you would look at things through Tony's eyes, an artist’s eyes, you would see an angel in the clouds, God's mighty hands in the mountains, and also hear God's gentle voice in the desert breeze.
One of Tony's favorite bible quotes is a portion of Psalm 27:
One thing I ask of the Lord; this I seek: To dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, That I may gaze on the loveliness of the Lord and contemplate his temple.
