In Loving Memory of Aracely Saucedo Lira
January 16, 1971 – September 19, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Aracely Saucedo Lira, affectionately known as La Güera, who passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2025, at the age of 54, in Amarillo, Texas.
Aracely was born on January 16, 1971, in Nayarit, Mexico, and spent part of her childhood in Grants, New Mexico, where she lived for eight years. She later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she came of age and built lasting relationships. In the years that followed, she lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, and eventually settled in Amarillo, Texas, a place she came to call home.
A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Aracely was admired for her enduring strength, quiet resilience, and the deep, unconditional love she gave to her family and all who knew her. Her life was a reflection of grace, humility, and compassion.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, José Luis Saucedo Garcia and Celia Rodriguez de Saucedo; her sister, Rita “Gabby” Saucedo; and her husband, Victor Hugo Lira Rosas, with whom she shared a deep and loving partnership.
Aracely leaves behind her four beloved children — Aaron Julian Lira, Victor Omar Lira Jr., Adrian Lira, and Abigail Tomasa Lira — who will carry her spirit forward with love and pride. She is also survived by her siblings, Jose Saucedo, Myrna Saucedo, and Maira Saucedo, and nine adoring grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and fulfillment.
Aracely’s warmth and generosity touched countless lives. She had an extraordinary ability to make people feel seen, supported, and cared for. Whether offering a kind word, a helping hand, or simply her presence, she made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A Final Tribute
Though Aracely’s physical presence is no longer with us, her legacy will live on through the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the love she so freely gave. Her memory will be cherished as a source of strength, inspiration, and comfort.
May we honor her life by carrying forward her kindness, her resilience, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Rest in peace, Aracely. You were the heart of our family, the light in our lives, and your love will remain with us—always.
