Cecelio Martinez

Cecelio Martinez, age 81, born in El Jardin, Wagon Mound, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on July 27, 2021.  Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Bernice (Valdez) Martinez; children, Freddie R. Martinez and girlfriend, Renae Jarvies, Anna M. Martinez and fiancé, Brian Lucero; grandchildren, Helen Lopez and husband, Daniel, Frederick R. Martinez Jr. and girlfriend, Natalie Estrada, Raymond Martinez and fiancee, Jonnie Lynn Zamora, Dr. Joseph R. Luna, Daniel Luna and fiancée, Ariana Martinez, Marisa Luna; great-grandchildren, Ava Lopez, Fred Martinez, Mya Martinez, Alina Martinez, Jonah Martinez; siblings Aurora Armijo, Benancio Martinez and wife, Molly, Robert Martinez and wife, Diane, Dr. Sofia Martinez and partner, Richard Moore, Mary Lou Gutierrez and husband, Abram; brother in-laws, Albert Coca and wife, Rory, Armando Gallegos and wife, Angie, Walter Valdez and wife, Barbara.  Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Roque Martinez Sr. and wife, Lupita (Maestas) Martinez; brothers, Juan Martinez, Jose Roque Martinez Jr.; and son, Abie Martinez.  Visitation will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 6:00p.m. at Church of the Ascension 2150 Raymac Rd. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Ascension 2150 Raymac Rd. SW.  Interment will follow at Pajarito Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Frederick R, Martinez Jr., Raymond Martinez, Daniel Luna, Mervin Martinez, Michael Martinez, Marisa Luna. Honorary Pallbearers are Helen Lopez and Joseph Luna.
