Celestino Daniel Abeyta

Celestino Daniel Abeyta, age 84, born in Coolidge, Arizona and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on September 9, 2026. Celestino is survived by his children, Elizabeth Knight and companion, Randy Sedillos, Desiderio Abeyta, Ricardo Abeyta and wife, Brenda, Jesus Abeyta and wife, Valerie; seventeen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; sisters Dolores, Louisa and Margaret; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Frances Abeyta and siblings, Alejandro and Juanita. Mr. Abeyta served his country proudly in the United States Navy where he was honorably discharged. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW. A Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
