It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darlene, who entered eternal rest on September 25, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, surrounded by her loving family. Though her years on earth were many, those who knew and loved her will forever remember her as being "forever 21" at heart.

Darlene was born on January 8 in Seboyeta, New Mexico, where she began a life filled with love, determination, and unwavering devotion to her family. She spent many dedicated years working for Ethicon, where she built lasting friendships and earned the respect of those around her through her hard work and commitment.

After retirement, Darlene found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved gardening, keeping a spotless home, and most importantly, spending time with her family. Some of her favorite memories were made during family outings, especially those trips to Dairy Queen for banana splits with her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was her family, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, celebrating their achievements and creating lasting memories together, including proudly watching her Sugar Baby Apollonia dance. She treasured the peaceful moments spent at her cabin in Datil, New Mexico, a place that brought her comfort and happiness. Darlene was also a loyal and passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, cheering them on with enthusiasm every season.

Known for her honesty and strong spirit, Darlene never had a problem speaking her mind. Those who loved her appreciated her straightforward nature, her sense of humor, and the genuine care she showed for family and friends. Her strength, wisdom, and unforgettable personality will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Harry and Jennie Gonzales; her son, Pancho Lovato; her brother, Tony Gonzales and her nephew, Noah Gonzales.

She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory always: her brothers, Bill Harrington and Jeremiahs "Guero" Harrington; her sister, Sandra Gonzales; her daughters, Denise Gonzales, Jody Dimas and husband Anthony whom Darlene shared a special bond with, the son-in-law, who was a constant source of love and support to her and her family; her grandchildren, Marissa Dimas, Sheila Dimas, Jennie Dimas, Reina Gonzales, and Pancho Gonzales; and her great-grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan, Apollonia, Sebastian, Vicente, Raymond, and Mario.

Though Darlene's absence leaves a void that can never be filled, her love, laughter, and the countless memories she created will live on through the family she treasured so deeply. May she rest in peace, reunited with those who went before her, while watching over those she leaves behind.
