Della L. Hernandez

April 19, 1928 — August 25, 2023

Della L. Hernandez, born in Manzano, N.M., a resident of Albuquerque N.M., was ushered into heaven peacefully in the comfort of her own home. Surrounded by her immediate family on Friday August 25, 2023. She is most remembered for her Strength, hospitality and kindness throughout her life opening her home to many individuals in need. Her passion for dancing, music and socializing lit up the room. Her energy was infectious, employed until her 80’s, always encouraging productivity, a real go-getter. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, embroidering, cooking, baking, gardening, shopping and dancing. When the opportunity arose, she was the first person to lend a helping hand. She approached life with humor and style, always dressed in fashion. Sharing stories of her past was interesting and exciting for her and her listeners, especially the ones about her beloved grandmother who raised her. She was an active member of the American Legion Post 100. Her greatest strength was the love for her family and fur baby Misty. She was a great presence in many lives and will be greatly missed by family and friends. May her gentle soul find eternal peace and her memory continue to inspire and enrich our lives so, that we too choose to live ours to the fullest.
