Felix Saavedra, age 75, went to be with our Lord, peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 3, 2024. Felix was born in Grants, New Mexico on August 12, 1948, and proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. Felix is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Lillian Saavedra; sons, Joshua Saavedra, Steven Saavedra and partner Christine; Three grandchildren, Alex, Abbey and Jayden, and their mother, Melannie. Felix loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved cooking and giving miniature gifts to everyone he knew. Felix was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan, never missing a game. Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Ruth Saavedra; sister Ruthie Mireles; and nephews, Andrew Sanchez, and Daniel Castillo. He is also survived by his siblings, Viola Abeyta (Santos), Bertha Sanchez ( Joe), Louis Saavedra (Lala), Rita Ramos and Marcella Lopez; special friends, Amanda and Jose Salas, and Ramon and Lydia Saiz. The family would like to thank the Dialysis team at the Veterans Hospital for the compassion and care they provided for Felix during this past six years. A Visitation for Mr. Saavedra will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 11:00am with a Rosary to be recited at 11:30am with a Mass to follow at 12:00pm all to be held at Holy Family Catholic Church 562 Atrisco Dr. SW with burial with Military Honors at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30pm, located at 501 N. Guadalupe St.
