Henry Roger Ortiz

Henry Roger Ortiz age 77, born in Bernalillo, New Mexico and a resident of Los Lunas, New Mexico passed away on March 16, 2023. Henry is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Beatrice Padilla Ortiz; daughters, Monica Vanetsky and husband, Scott, Sabrina Aragon and husband, Dominic, and Karissa Romero; grandchildren, Travis Aragon, Lucianita Ortiz, Rafael Romero, Kekoa Bullough, Marianna Valenti and Bronson Clary, Reyna Romero and Rory Eastman, Mai Edwards, Terry Valenti Ill and Jessica Pino, Sabrina Aragon and Jacob Baca, Mariciela Romero and Justin Maestas, Rhiannon Aragon, Giovanna Vanetsky; great-grandchildren, Anita Bullough, Kennedy Eastman, Audria Montoya and Terry Valenti IV. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Anita Ortiz; father and mother in-law, Ralph and Lucy Padilla; brothers Phillip Ortiz and Robert Ortiz and his beloved chihuahua, Babydoll Ortiz. Henry served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. Henry retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Henry was a dedicated husband, father, and papa. He was kind, compassionate, patient, generous, and loving. Henry loved spending time with his wife and family. Henry and Bea traveled across the world together. He loved to travel to Laughlin and he enjoyed going to casinos and La Casita food truck and the paleta store. He graduated from Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School in Bernalillo at age 16 and was valedictorian of his class. He went to the NM state highschool basketball tournaments almost every year until his later years. He liked to watch WWE on TV and listen to New Mexican music. Nothing made him happier than being with his grandkids and great-grandkids. A Visitation for Mr. Ortiz will be held on Monday April 3, 2023 at 9:00am with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30am and a Service to follow at 10:00am all to be held at San Clemente Catholic Church, located at 244 Luna Ave SE, Los Lunas, NM 87031. An interment will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 2:30pm
