Jacob Darryl Garcia

d. February 14, 2026

Jacob Darryl Garcia, 30, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on February 14, 2026. He was born on August 24, 1995, to Timothy and Kimberly Garcia, and was their deeply loved son.

Jacob was a quiet person at first meeting, but those who earned his trust discovered warmth, humor, and a contagious spirit. When he opened up, he could fill a room with laughter. He carried himself with discipline and determination, expressed most clearly through his dedication to fitness, hockey, and the personal standards he set for himself. Strong in both body and character, he earned the respect of friends and the loyalty of those who knew him well. To many, he was a steady and reassuring presence — a bright and memorable soul.

To his family he was “Jay,” and to friends he was known as “Jake” or “Tanner.” He was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, and his unwavering loyalty to his team was one of the many small but familiar traits that made him unmistakably himself.

Jacob is survived by his parents, Timothy and Kimberly Garcia; his sister Heather Pham and her husband Giao Pham; his sisters Sharon Garcia and Raena Garcia; his nephews and niece, Nicholas, Brandon, and Isabella Pham; and Sharon’s fiancé, Brian Philipsen. Jacob was a cherished son, a goofball brother, the “cool” uncle, and a loyal friend. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, and he will be remembered with a deep love by all who knew him.
