Jose Angel Herrera, age 96, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on March 22, 2024. Mr. Herrera is survived by his children, Phillip Herrera, Ernest Herrera, Phyllis Herrera, Danny Herrera, Karen Martinez and husband, Raul; eleven grandchildren; several great- and great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dulcelina; parents, Victor, and Salome Herrera; sons, Vincent Herrera, Anthony Herrera, siblings, Ramona Perea, Clorinda Herrera and Nabor Herrera. Visitation will be held at Holy Family Church 562 Atrisco Dr. SW Albuquerque, New Mexico 87105 on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery 501 N. Guadalupe St. in Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501, where Mr. Herrera will be laid to rest with his wife Dulcelina. Pallbearers will be Phillip Herrera Jr., Victor Herrera, Josh Bryand, Antonio Herrera-Bryand, Santos Burciaga, Steve Abeyta. Honorary Pallbearer will be Michael Herrera.
