Juan Bautista Serrano

Juan Bautista Serrano of Albuquerque NM went home to heaven on March 22, 2021 at the age of 91. He was a beloved husband to his wife Gloria Serrano, father to son John Serrano and daughter Sandra and husband Harry Vialpando, stepfather to Joanie and husband Pat Lesperance, Patsy Garcia, Elaine and husband Kevin Ohm, and Evette Garcia, seventeen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, brother, uncle and friend.
He was born to Raefaelita and Jose Leon Serrano in Canjilon NM on October 18, 1929. He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque NM and retired from Sandia Laboratories. He was an old rancher who reminisced of his life with his horses and cattle. Juan (Johnny) had a big heart that touched everyone who came in contact with him, always laughing and smiling. He will forever be in our hearts and will be greatly missed by all of us who knew and loved him. We are thankful for the time we had with him and all the beautiful memories he left in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth, his parents Rafaelita & Jose Leon Serrano, 3 sisters Teodorita Hernandez, Eliza Jaramillo & Lydia Garcia. A Mass for Mr. Serrano will be held March 31, 2021 at 9:00am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, located at 5415 Fortuna Rd. Nw 87105. A Burial to follow to Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Acacia Sanchez, Joshua Serrano, Jesse Lewis, Emilio Palanco, Zane Lovato, and Mario Diaz.
