In Loving Memory of Lawrence “Len” Gallegos
Lawrence “Len” Gallegos, 77, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025. He was born on August 16, 1948, and in those 77 years he touched more lives than words can truly capture.
Len was a man of quiet strength, resilience, and deep love for those around him. He faced life’s battles with courage and dignity, fighting until there was no more fight left to give. Even in the hardest moments, his devotion to his family never wavered.
He found joy in life’s simple but meaningful moments. Len loved fishing and hunting, and he had a special bond with his dogs, who were always at his side. He enjoyed riding his bike, and he was known as the family’s “MacGyver,” able to fix or build just about anything with creativity and skill. And at the end of a hard working day, nothing made him happier than relaxing with an ice-cold Coors Light — a simple pleasure that reflected his appreciation for life’s little rewards.
He will be remembered for his steady presence, his strong will, and the way he made people feel welcome, valued, and loved.
Len is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Margaret M. Gallegos, who stood by his side through life’s many seasons. He was also a proud and devoted stepfather to Rudy and his wife Sandra, and to Renee and her husband Randy. To Len, they were never “step” children — they were truly his own.
He was a proud father to his five sons: Dominic and his fiancée Cyndi; Frank and his wife Tanya; Michael and his fiancée Jessica; Vincent and his wife Aurora; and Gabriel and his wife Daja. Even more, Len was blessed to be a proud grandpa to 15 grandchildren, each of whom brought him joy, laughter, and pride beyond measure.
Len is also survived by his siblings: sisters Christine Hastings, Cora Chavez, Ruth Gonzales, Lolly and her husband Ray Ponce, and his brother Raymond and his wife Mona Gallegos.
He now reunites in heaven with his parents, his brothers Medaro, Willy, and Martin, his grandson Joshua, and his stepson Anthony. Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing he is at peace and surrounded by loved ones who went before him.
