Margaret “Pudgie” Fernandez Vallez

Margaret “Pudgie” Fernandez Vallez, age 75, born in Santa Fe, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on January 31, 2026. Margaret is survived by her loving siblings, sister, Patricia Muniz Roberts and husband, Dennis & son Erik Muniz, brother, George Muniz and wife, Grace and children, Carlos and Vanessa and partner, Randee, grandchildren, Kianna Lynn and Mason, of Albuquerque, sister, Deborah Fernandez and husband, Sam and children, Sammy and Nicole of Torrance, California, and sister, Joanne Muniz of Albuquerque; stepsisters,  Charmaine and Frankie Ann; stepsons, Edward “Boy” Vallez ll and James Garcia; grandchildren, Edward Vallez lll and wife, Renee and their five children, Lori Vallez and husband, Joe and their four children, Trisha Vallez and her five children, Valerie Vallez and her five children; Godson, Johnathan Garcia and fiancée, Shailyn and their three children, Sandra Vallez and husband, Daniel and their three children, sister in-laws, Becky Benavidez and Lydia Flores. Numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Tewas” Vallez; parents, Billy and Georgia Muniz; father, Frank A. Fernandez, and stepdaughters, Carla Vallez, Charlotte Vallez and Barbara Vallez.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited 10:00 a.m. and a Memorial Service 10:30 a.m. all to be held in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel located at 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with burial to follow at Evangelico Cemetery on Blake Rd. SW.
