There was a huge garden behind the houses where they used to grow vegetables. Until Margie sold the properties in the 1980s, the family had a Christmas tradition of walking through the neighborhoods in Old Town to see the Christmas lights and luminarias, followed by a visit to San Felipe Church in the plaza to light candles. Afterwards, everyone walked back to Margie’s house for posole and tamales. In her younger years, Margie was quite glamorous and stylish in her dresses and high heels. Margie had a lot of colorful stories. She loved spending time with her family, doing crossword puzzles, mystery novels, western wear and old country music. She also loved watching videos of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed greatly but is reunited with her beloved daughters.
