MaryLou Chapela

Mary Lou Chapela, age 78, born in Gallup, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on July 6, 2025. Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Shannon Garcia and husband, Jose; grandchildren, Eric Yellowhorse and wife, Cortney, Jessie Garcia and wife Melissa, Stevie Rae Yellowhorse, Jodi Gutierrez and husband, Jake, Gage Yellowhorse Polar and Dominique Montoya; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Gillis Chapela, Yvonne Martinez, and husband, Sigfredo, and Charlotte Chapela; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Juanita Chapela; brother, John Chapela Jr., grandson, Jason Armijo, niece, Marion Chavez, son, Brandon Polar, and daughter, Nicole Chavez. Services are pending.
