Michael Anthony Atler Sr., born in his family home, April 18,1956, transitioned to heaven peacefully, September 1, 2026, surrounded by the love and memories of those who cherished him. Michael leaves behind a beautiful legacy through his children, Michael and wife, Jennifer, Erica, Stephen and wife Cita; grandchildren, Christella and partner, Adam, Melanie and husband, A.J., Michael Anthony and fiancée, Aly, Syncere and Essynce; great-grandchildren, Ambrosia, Scarlett, Ava, Angel James, Michael Anthony and an additional one on the way; seven sisters; two brothers, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Antoinette L. Atler; father, Robert F. Atler Sr. and mother, Florella M. Atler. Michael retired as a supervisor with the City of Albuquerque Parks and Recreation department, but at heart he was always an electrician. His career began as an electrician at the airport. Although his positions and responsibilities within the City of Albuquerque changed throughout the years, his passion for his trade never wavered. In 1998, Michael established his own company, a business that became one of his greatest sources of pride and joy. More than building a company, Michael used it as an opportunity to help others. He employed family, friends, and many others, teaching them a valuable trade, guiding them as they developed their skills and careers. He took great pride in watching others succeed and was always willing to share his knowledge, experience and time. Throughout his life, Michael kept God and his faith at the center of everything he did. As devoted member of the church, he strived to live according to his faith and to be a generous, caring, selfless man. Whether he knew you for only five minutes or for an entire lifetime, he was ready to offer a helping hand, a kind word, and a prayer. His compassion and willingness to help others touched countless lives. Michael will be remembered for his strong faith, generous heart, love of family, dedication to his work, and the countless ways he gave of himself to others. His presence brought comfort, guidance, laughter and love to those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the lessons he taught, the lives he touched and the love he shared will remain forever. Michael will be deeply missed, `lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
