Michael Gallegos Sr.

Michael Gallegos Sr., age 81, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 10, 2025. Michael is survived by his children, daughter, Sarah Gallegos and husband, Richard Tafoya and son, Michael Gallegos; grandchildren, Jamaa, Michael Angelo, and Felicia; great-grandchildren, Lilith and Jessie; brother Danny Garcia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Valentina Gallegos. Michael served his country proudly in the United States Army, during the Vietnam Era where he was honorably discharged. Pallbearers will be Michael Angelo Gallegos, Richard Tafoya, Kyle Fastnacht, Michael Gallegos Jr., Ivan Garcia, and Matthew Gonzalez. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to recited at 7:00 p.m. all to take place in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel located at 1000 Old Coors Drive SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121. A Final Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass to follow at 9:00 a.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church located at 5901 St Joseph’s Drive NW Albuquerque, NM 87120. A Burial to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM 87102.
