Mr. Noberto Griego, age 86, born in San Miguel, New Mexico, and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on September 30, 2026.

Noberto is survived by his children, Ruth Evans and husband Kelvin, Gregory Griego and Rosalie Trujillo, and Mark Griego and wife Theresa; his sister, Mary Flores; his grandchildren, Zamora Evans and Grace Evans; his brother-in-law, Isidro “Sonny” Flores; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Noberto was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Griego; his mother, Eloisa Griego; his father, Isauro Griego; and his sister, Sophie Reno.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 7:45 a.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 8:15 a.m. and Mass to follow at 9:00 a.m. All services will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. Burial will follow at 11:15 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Griego, Mark Griego, Kelvin Evans, Kenneth Flores, Jonathan Flores, and Michael Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be Zamora Evans and Grace Evans.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joy Junction, a local homeless family shelter, where Noberto’s family often gave in support of those in need.
