Orlando Lucero, age 84, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on September 3, 2026. Orlando is survived by his children, son, Orlando Lucero Jr. and wife, Maria, and daughter Yolanda Romero; grandchildren, Derrick Marrufo Jr., Darren Marrufo, Desiree Baca, Dominique Marrufo Gonzalez, Christina Marrufo, and Dominic Lucero; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia; daughter, Christina, and parents and siblings. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 7:45 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW with a Rosary to be recited at 8:15 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. with interment to follow the services at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery 1730 Airport Rd. SW. Pallbearers will be Derrick Marrufo Jr., Darren Marrufo, Dominic Lucero, Christian Gonzalez, Xavier Baca, and Josiah Martinez.
