Pete Otero

Pete Otero, age 82, born in San Acacia, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on August 2, 2026. Pete is survived by his daughter, Patricia Lucero and husband, Abel; grandchildren, Miranda Lucero and fiancé, Liska Maddox, Christi Lucero and Jesus Bustillos; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geronima (Gerri) Otero; sons, Freddie Otero and Randy Otero; siblings, Lola Otero, Macedonia (Masie) Lesperance, Inez Otero-Napoleon, Trini Otero, Mariana Otero- Lopez, Alex Otero Jr., and baby brother and sister, Freddie and Ernestina Otero. Pete served his country proudly and retired from the New Mexico Army National Guard. Services will be held at St. Josephs on the Rio Grande Catholic Church 5901 Saint Josephs Dr. NW with burial to follow with military honors at the Santa Fe National Cemetery 501 N. Guadalupe St. in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he will be laid to rest with his wife, Gerri. Date and times for the services are pending
