Rafael Olivas Castillo

Rafael Olivas Castillo, age 71, born in Gomez Farias, Chihuahua, Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on March 9, 2026. Rafael is survived by his wife of fifty years, Guadalupe; his children, Ubaldo Olivas, Huber Olivas and wife, Aimee, and David Olivas; siblings, Manuel Olivas, Gonzalo Olivas, Rosa Olivas, Teresa Olivas, Jose Angel Olivas, Martin Olivas, Luz Elva Olivas and Mario Olivas; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be held in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW on Tuesday, March17, 2026 at 6:30p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. Final visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 10:00a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church 2401Broadway Blvd. SE. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30a.m. and burial will follow the services at Sunset Memorial Cemetery 924 Menaul Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be Jose Angel Olivas, Martin Olivas, Mario Olivas, Rigo Figueroa, Jose Figueroa, Hugo Figueroa. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ubaldo Olivas and Gabriel Olivas.
