Ramona Dominick Ortiz

Ramona Dominick Ortiz, age 101, born in Cerrillos, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on October 18, 2026. Ramona is survived by her children, Juanita “Janet” Ortiz, Chris Weir and husband, Danny, Daniel Ortiz and wife, Adella; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Grace; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Special thanks to Ramona Armijo, Yvette Ortiz and Dominick Ortiz along with nephew Sam Padilla and wife, Tinker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Ortiz; parents, Henry and Juanita Dominick and children, Pete Ortiz, Rosemary Armijo and Raymond Ortiz. Ramona was a dedicated volunteer at the Albuquerque Office of Senior Affairs for over thirty years. A visitation will be held at Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW at 7:45 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, with a Rosary to follow at 8:15 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment is scheduled on Monday, November 2, 2026, at 9:45 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery 501 N. Guadalupe St. where Mrs. Ortiz will be laid to rest with her husband, Pedro Ortiz. Pallbearers will be Carol-Lynn Ortiz Harvey, Risa Hoffman, Dominick Ortiz, Danny Ortiz, Maria Armijo and Anna Gabaldon.
