Ramona Hinshaw, a faithful Christian and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Ramona was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Howard Hinshaw, for 69 years. Together they shared a lifetime of love, faith, and dedication to family. Her life was guided by her faith, which she lived out through kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
She proudly served as a Bernalillo County school crossing guard, a role she truly loved. Ramona took great joy in helping children safely cross the street each day and formed special bonds with the students and families she served. Her dedication, warm smile, and genuine care made her a familiar and trusted presence in the community.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Hinshaw.
She is survived by her loving husband Howard Hinshaw; her son Eli Hinshaw; her grandchildren Matthew, Jessica, and Jacob; and her great-grandchildren Serenity, AJ, Lorraine, Elena, and Gwenivere.
Ramona’s faith in the Lord was a source of strength throughout her life, and her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at rest in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will be cherished always.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, with viewing at 11:30 a.m., followed by funeral services at 12:00 p.m. A procession to the burial site will follow the service, with burial immediately thereafter.
