Raul “Sonny” Miera Jr., age 82, born in Dixon, New Mexico, passed away on June 23, 2026. Raul is survived by his wife of Forty-Eight years, Norma Miera; children, Robert Miera and wife Tina, Edwina King, Amanda Colburn and husband Brian; grandchildren, Isaiah King, Isabella King, Rylee, Colburn, Cassidy Colburn; Antonio Avila, and Lola Lopez; siblings, Lawrence Vargas, Sam Vargas, Lupita Miera, and Aby Vargas; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Raul is preceded in death by his mother, Olive Mierra; father, Raul Miera and wife Rebecca; sister, Delia Hughes, and Joann Sandoval; brother, George Vargas, David Vargas, and Henry Grant. Services for Mr. Miera are pending.
