Reina Montano

Reina Montano (Carrillo), 83, born in Socorro, New Mexico, a resident of Albuquerque, passed  January 18, 2018 with her loving family by her side.  Reina is survived by her beloved husband, Leonard of 46 years; children, Isidro Romero, wife, Pat, Johnnie Romero, Patricia Gibson, husband, Tracy, Suzanne Romero, Rosalie Romero, Denise Valerio, Antonio Romero, girlfriend, Elia Torres, Christian Montano, girlfriend, Jeanette Ward; sister, Ramona Chavez; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  Reina was preceded in death by her parents, Refugio and Abrana Carrillo; brother, Tony.

Reina loved to cook, dance, sing and especially loved to be with her family.  She took great pride in being involved in the raising of her children and grandchildren.  Reina will be missed by all who knew and loved her dearly, she was the heart of our family and will remain in our thoughts always.  Special thanks to AmberCare Hospice.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.;  A final visitation will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, with Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.   Interment will follow services at Mount Calvary Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be James Romero, Michael Romero, Chance Romero, Eric Hawn, Josh Aragon and Elliott Gibson.
