Rita Walz, age 70, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on October 29, 2026. Rita is survived by her husband of twenty-two years, Daniel Walz; children, Rachel and husband, Joe Armstrong, Ruben Alderete and Hailey Wisdom, Brandon and Natalyn Walz, Jordan Walz; beloved grandchildren, Joseph and Bri, Raeann and Artie, Elias Richard Jr., Omar, Sonrissa; great-grandkids, Diesel, Auriella, Nazareth, Joseph Jr., and Charlie; beloved siblings, David and Evelyn Martinez, Betty Chavez, Grace and George Muniz, Bernadette Martinez, Alfred Martinez Jr. and, April, Magdalena “Maggie” Martinez, Kent and Terry Walz, Jerry and Alisha Walz, and Barbara Johnstad; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, father, Alfred Martinez, mother, Irene Martinez; and son, Richard “Richie” Alderete. Rita served her community proudly as a registered nurse for thirty-six years. Services for Rita are pending.
