Robert E. Lovato, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully with his wife Deborah & daughter Victoria right by his side on Thursday, July 24, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 47.
Robert’s only child Victoria was his true blessing. They had a special relationship filled with their own personal memories. Robert was so proud to tell everyone about his daughter and make it known he would go to NO limits to protect her. Robert was super proud of her accomplishment of becoming a nurse and bragged too everyone he knew about her.
Nothing brought Robert more joy than his grandchildren Phelonie and Legion. The love Robert had for them was a one-of-a-kind love. Phelonie and Legion will carry the special memories they made with their “papa” in their hearts forever.
Robert’s sense of humor and laughter will forever leave a lasting impression on everyone that knew him. Robert always had a joke to tell, and would laugh so hard at his own jokes that you just had to join in.
Though Robert is no longer with us, he will live on in the countless lives he touched. Robert loved helping anyone he could. Robert loved giving the people he cared about little gifts, rather it be a drawing or something he found that reminded him of you.
Robert loved helping his wife Deborah put on lowrider car shows with their non-profit organization Malakai’s Miracles. Robert’s favorite was the annual Drug Awareness show where he shared a bit of his life story in June 2024. As well as the annual toys for tot’s show. Robert would do anything to help addicts and children; even when he was struggling with addiction himself.
Robert passion was his art, poetry, and boy did he love his music The many drawings he did over the years for family and friends was truly amazing. Robert loved all types of music and boy, he loved to listen to it loud; the louder the better. You would know he was rolling up just by how loud he had his music. His poetry was kept close to his heart, and he would only share it with very few as it was part of his soul and his life. Robert was able to share to the world one poem “Silver Spoon” that meant a lot to him in June 2024 as Nathaniel Testuro Paolinelli captured the moment and shared it with the world on Facebook.
Robert will be forever missed, always remembered, and eternally cherished.
