Wonderful wife, great mother, and amazing grandma and great grandma, Soledad Montaño, 83, went to be with the Lord on Sunday January 11, 2026.
She is preceded in death by her husband Louie S. Montaño, parents Rito and Maria Alarcon; Brothers: Ismael Alarcon, and Pete Alarcon; sister: Mary Aguilar (Alarcon).
Soledad is survived by her children: Louie Montaño, Jr., Sandra L. Perez, Richard Montaño and wife Karen; Grandchildren Celicia Gutierrez and husband David, Cameron Montaño and wife Sarah, Marisol Montaño, Joaquin Montaño; and great grandchildren: Noah J. Gutierrez, Illiana and Luca Montaño. Sisters: Gregoria Hernandez and Jimmy, Susie Benavidez, Marcella Espinosa; Brothers: Joe Alarcon and Veronica, Ladislado Alarcon, John Alarcon and Marie. As well as numerous nieces and nephews and great friends.
Solie worked tirelessly in management running L&M cleaners until she was 70. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, her ability to make you laugh, her honesty and love. She enjoyed traveling and new experiences with her husband, watching her husband Louie play softball, cheering his teams to victory. Bowling on various leagues, spending time with all her grandchildren, and walking with her sister in their neighborhood while talking about life.
She was a light in every room. She never missed an opportunity to dance with her husband Louie to their favorite mariachi music. If you knew Soledad, you knew you were always welcome. She was a friend to all who knew her and needed her.
Although she is gone, her spirit will live on in all of us.
Soledad’s Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Tuesday January 20, 2026, at 10:15am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church located at 5415 Fortuna Rd. N.W., 87105. Mass will begin at 11:00 am. Solie will be laid to rest following the Mass at San Jose De Armijo Cemetery located at 2957 Arenal Rd SW, 87121. Reception to follow at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church located at 5415 Fortuna Rd. N.W., 87105
Pallbearers will be Sam Chavez, Stevie Alarcon, David Alarcon, Michael Alarcon, Brennon Williams and Jesus Aguilar.
