Vicente Alderete Jr.

Vicente Alderete Jr., age 94, born in Los Chavez, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on March 7, 2026. Vicente is survived by his sons, Alfred Alderete and wife, Ruthcelie Simblante, and Robert Alderete; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; sons, Richard Alderete, and Arthur Alderete; grandsons, Aaron Alderete, and Richard “Bubs” Alderete Jr.; brother, Rosendo Alderete, and eight other siblings. Vicente served his country proudly and retired from the United States Air Force. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 9:15 a.m. at Ascension Catholic Church 2150 Raymac Rd. SW with Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow the services at Pajarito Cemetery with full Air Force military honors at the intersection of Pajarito Rd. and South Coors. Pallbearers will be family members.
