Victoria Armijo Cordova

d. August 5, 2021

(Mary) Victoria ‘Vickie’ Armijo Cordova, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the young age of 59. She was born to the late Joe and Mary Lou Armijo on November 2, 1962 in Albuquerque, NM.

She graduated from West Mesa High School and after high school went to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.  Vickie then went to beauty school and made a career as an amazingly talented, fun loving beautician.

When she wasn’t busy ‘making people beautiful’ her family and friends were her passion and delight. She spent her summers camping and gardening. She enjoyed entertaining, and hosting parties at her home with the love of her life, Bill Cordova , whom she married August 9, 1989. Her unending talent will be forever missed and remembered through music, her photos, her paintings and all her other beautiful art. Her laugh was infectious and her smile and energy lit up a room. She was truly the Queen of all trades and will be missed by many and remembered by all. Some of her greatest advice was ‘Life is short. Never stop creating memories!’

Vickie is survived by her husband of 32 years, Bill Cordova; three children, Sarah Victoria Sanchez, Jason Cordova and wife Stefanie Vigil, Rachel Marcotte and husband Jonathan and her four grandchildren; Tyler Quintana, Jakobe Marcotte, Jameis Marcotte, and Miguel Cordova Vigil. She is also survived by her siblings, Darlene Stapleton, Dorothy McCoy and husband Butch, Dianna Willis, Martin Armijo and wife Renee, Laura Juarez and husband Richard, Roberta Carroll and husband Dennis, Susan Bostic, and husband Eugene.  Anita Garcia and husband Ralph, Roseanne Gallegos and husband David; sister in law Eleanor Armijo. She is preceded her in death by her parents, Joe and MaryLou Armijo, brother JD Armijo, brother in laws, John Stapleton, Daniel Willis and many other close family members and friends.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their unending love, prayers and support during this time. For those who have known Vickie and wish to attend her services:
