Rosela (Jojola) Lukesh, age, 93 was born in Val Verde, New Mexico and passed away on July 26, 2022. She was born to Daniel and Raquel Jojola, where they settled in Socorro, New Mexico where she met James Lukesh Sr. They married in Los Lunas on May 27, 1950. Rosela and James eventually moved to Albuquerque’s South Valley to raise their family. Rosela spent her life dedicated to her large family and Catholic faith. She was a member of the Alter and Rosary Society at St. Edwin’s Catholic Church. She is survived by her children, Catherine Lukesh, James Lukesh Jr. and wife, Sandra, Jonathan Lukesh and wife, Debra, Brenda Panas and husband, Billy; grandchildren William (Ez), Spencer and wife, Desirey, Jericho and partner, Jordan, Joshua, Christopher, Matthew and Mariah, Ryan, Amanda, Tyler, Dawnielle and husband, Eric, Cynthia and Alex; great-grandchildren, Noel, LaNina, Amanda, Jaylynn, Gavin, Autumn, Evan, Draden and Damien; one great-great-granddaughter, Chloe and one on the way, Cora. Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Rosela was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Raquel Jojola, husband, James Lukesh Sr., and son, Robert Lukesh. All of her sibling's are gathered to welcome her at the Gates of Heaven. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 8:45 a.m. at St. Edwin’s Catholic Church 2105 Barcelona Rd. SW. with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Following the services Rosela will be laid to rest along-side her husband, James Lukesh Sr. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William (Ez) and Joshua Panas, Spencer, Tyler, Christopher and Ryan Lukesh, Eric Rodriguez and Matthew Lukesh. Honorary pallbearers will be Jericho Lukesh, Amanda Panas, Dawnielle Rodriguez, Cynthia Bohannon and Joe Gonzales.
