Welford Lucero

Welford (Bill) J. Lucero, age 87, born in 1932, passed away on December, 27, 2019.  He was born in Amarillo, Texas, to Athur Bill Lucero and Josefina Solano.  He enlisted in the Marines in 1951, served in the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1956 ranking Sargeant.  Welford is survived by his wife, Selfita; sisters, Virginia and Lolly; daughters, Jeannette and partner, Tim, Becky, Tanya and partner, Cassie; grandchildren, Roberta, Shaun, Shane, Tracy, Elijah, and Mariah; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Mya, Alicia, Cheyenne, Bryson, DJ, Mari, Bronson, River, and Graesyn, and great-great-grandson Jonathon.He was preceded in death by his father, mother; sister, Pauline; brother, Ralph and son-in-law, Will.

A committal service will be Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
